Easy riding, and lots of great conversation with Walter who made a most agreeable cycling companion. We stopped often to rest in the shade, eat wild cherries and admire the sights. Eventually we parted ways as I headed for Lille to get my vaccinations, and he further south to make a more direct line to Slovakia.
